I like the ones with violence in them..
I usually prefer manga to anime, and if I'm a fan of a manga, watching the anime can make me angry, like seeing the movie of a book..
1 Fullmetal Alchemist
2 The Demon Ororon
3 Trigun
4 Parasyte
5 Zombie Powder (I like early Bleach too.)

Hmmm :/ Well I relate to it because of each character's thought process, plus it's funny. I liked the anime more than the books I think. What I liked about the books was that the drama got heavier as I read. The issues made it more realistic distracting you that it was a fantasy novel. I guess that's why.

Fruits Basket was okay...

Now, I don't read many print comics, so I'll go with webcomics instead.

In no particular order:

Order of the Stick
The Phoenix Requiem
The Non-Adventures of Wonderella
El Goonish Shive
Earthsong
No Rest for the Wicked.

Amine:
1. Genshiken
2. Welcome to the NHK
3. Azumanga Daioh
4. Minami-ke
5. Lucky Star

Manga:
1.Genshiken
2.Azumanga Daioh
3.Yotsuba&
4.Suzuka
5.Kekkaishi

And because it was opened up
Webcomics
1.Xkcd(www.xkcd.com)
2.Antihero for Hire(www.antiheroforhire.com)
3.Shortpacked/Its Walky(www.shortpacked.com / www.itswalky.com)
4.Least I Can Do/Looking For Group(www.licd.com / www.lfgcomic.com)
5.Sinfest(I swear to God its not as dirty as the name suggests)(www.sinfest.net)

As you can see, I fricken love Genshiken. I have long since forgotten why except for the fact that its pure concentrated win. Though after my third read through of the series, I'm kinda getting bored of it. (I really am not that crazy. I let one of my friends borrow the rest of my manga, and i have yet to see it back in my hands, and thats the only thing I have to read at night now. What am I supposed to do? Sleep?)

Comic Party looks stupid, and never looked into Dojin Work. I basically go for comedies with a hint of drama, and if its funny in the first couple chapters/episodes, I'm hooked.
I can list off the where I got hooked in all of them.
Genshiken-First episode with Kousaka being Kousaka, then the room test, then Saki punching Sasahara.
NHK- First Episode, Satou going f*ckin nuts.
Azumanga- First Episode, Tsukurimashou.
Minami-ke- This clip made me watch the whole series, because Sensei is broken. I mean come on, A 75% damage knockdown combo into an OTG super shoryuken for the win? Come on!
Lucky Star- The food conversation in the very beginning. It turned off a lot of people to the series, but I actually ate most of the foods they talked about, and Nato with mayo sounds pretty disgusting.

Hahaha surprisingly I loved those series too. On Azumanga Osaka rocks with the slow reactions and outworldy comments XD Genshiken shocked me with Genshiken 2 episode 5 >_> Good God XD Don't ask people. Also they had a parody of Itoshiki sensei in one episode, as if to counter this, in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei they also made a parody about the Genshiken gang at the same comiket event XD Minami Ke is just total win. NINOMIYA KUN! SENSEI! And can't forget about Hosaka too XD The second series' animation went down in terms of quality but still funny. Lucky star got funny for me on episode 5 onwards. I loved the Haruhi cafe in ep 16 and of course MEITO ANISAWA!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! -BURNS UP- -FLAME BG- It's just that I've seen quite a lot of anime that's why we've seen the same names., I'm just afraid to say that I even saw not so good animes and worse. Gah, I already erased them in my memory to avoid me ranting about it ^^

Re: Favorite manga / anime

I think episode 5 is my favorite episode of the whole series. I know this makes me look really gay, and I'm not, but I couldn't stop laughing at the absurdity of the whole episode. Like, everyone lived in a penthouse of a highrise apartment complex, Madarame has a wall full of tvs with anime, and everyone was skinny, muscular, and had no body hair. Plus I read the manga so I knew exactly what was happening, so nothing surprised me. Except the ending... I had to skip that part.

And Housaka is my favorite character hands down. He's like a bishounen Osaka who randomly takes his shirt off for no reason. I heard Okawari sucked, so I haven't touched that yet.

Mah~ The animation was no where near the first season that's for sure, but it had some funny moments. Although the animation quality dragged it's total score overall. It's a good thing they kept the "Serious" Faces XD Having read the manga it's possible that they'll make another season for Genshiken, I really want to see the part where Susie stayed in Chika's apartment temporarily ^^

Are you still here, Caf? I found two manhwa you might be interested in...

Riki Oh: A highly trained fighter with a reputation for excessive violence kills a businessman and gets 3 years in a max security prison. While there, he comes into conflict with The Four Emperors, prisoners trusted to keep prisoner violence to a minimum. And there's something strange about the warden...

High Shool:
  • Oh Ho Rah, Self-proclaimed legendary fighter in his middle school. .Expert in taekwondo, other students know he never lost a fight

[*] Jo Pae, daredevil to the point of base stupidity, he boasts that no one has ever knocked him out but himself

  • Han Ryu: the quiet one, therefor the most dangerous. Sensitive soul on the verge of madness

These three come into conflict on their first day in a new high school. As they square off for a showdown, the fight is interrupted by the high school boss. Jo Pae knocks him off the roof and all three get targeted for elimination

My those Koreans are violent, aren't they?
