Two siblings from Iowa, with short police record as graphitists, get bored during summer vacation and run away to California. Entering on I40, hoboing a train where they have a close encounter with the real thing. Thrown off the train in Barstow, they make a run for it and barely escape, ending up shoplifting to keep from dieing in the desert.
On they go, hitting all the legendary hotspots, getting in trouble with cops and criminals, back up the California Valley where they learn the truth about Steinbeck and hiphop, and finally get what they deserve in the shadow of Golden Gate Bridge.
All in All, there's a general ambience of Tom Sawyer meets Thelma And Louise.
