Prosper History: The Crew of Anna Marie

J. J. Prosper gathered a crew of 19 (and some of their family) to set off from England to explore after his wife Anna Marie died.

Their ship Anna Marie, named for Prosper's wife, crashed and they found new land. Whilst they repaired their ship, they settled on this new land, which was later to be called the town of Prosper.

History & Personality:
He was a man encouraged by his wealthy family to always learn and search for knowledge. Upon finishing his schooling, he became a librarian to always be surrounded by vessels of information and knowledge, despite his family having enough money that he need never work.

He believed in doing right by others, being kind, and keeping his word. He was not one to take leadership roles (and thus was uncomfortable when he was later captain) and was uncomfortable with conflict. He was often quiet and only spoke when necessary but was known to write in his journal for hours. He was not one for socialising.

He met his future wife, Anna Marie Phillips, at the library when she was browsing through its selection of poetry.
They married within the year. She showed interested in an old ship so he bought it for her, vowing that he would restore it to its former glory and sail out to sea together.
It wasn’t long until she became very ill and though she fought the disease, it took her before the ship was restored.
He then sought to see its completion and journey away from England as his wife had always wanted.

He’s very particular and has a steady hand. He occasionally expresses his creative talent at drawing by logging down his sightings in his visual diary with sketches.

He belongs to a small family including his mother, his younger sister, his brother in law and their children, whom he invited on the second journey from England. His own partner left him for someone with higher earnings.
